Its not only the streets and the people in a village that give it its character. The problem is that the word village is becoming obsolete in this building manic country. What used to be remote villages have now become a metropolis, a jungle of cement block with the endemic trees being replaced by even bigger cranes. I think that is why some one branded a shop with the name “Urban Jungle”. Well luckily enough there are still such villages in Gozo which are proud of there culture and surrounding environment, one such place is Gharb. So here are some photos of its surroundings.
